Sunflower Babies is a private lactation practice that specializes in breastfeeding education and empowering families with knowledge and skills which have proven to be successful.
We have years of experience helping families from many situations, including...but not limited to:
sleepy newborns, preterm babies, NICU babies, difficulty latching, painful latching, babies with lip & tongue tie, difficulty with milk supply, plugged milk ducts, engorgement, mastitis, pumping, bottle feeding, alternative feeding methods, and much, much more.

Sunflower Babies' mission is to offer exceptional breastfeeding support to families in our community and to guide them toward success in their breastfeeding journey. We recognize each family has their own personal breastfeeding story. Every family's experience is unique. We will help you implement a plan of care especially designed for your family.
Our Name:
Sunflowers are absolutely beautiful. They resemble our sweet little babies in that they reflect joy and happiness. Sunflowers are strong and resilient always seeking the sunlight...in the same manner, our babies seek the warmth and nurturing of their family. Just as sunflowers bloom under some extraordinary circumstances, we seek to help families and babies grow and thrive while overcoming some of the challenges of breastfeeding.

Stephanie graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Arlington where she received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She has been a registered nurse for 26 years and a lactation consultant for 9 years with experience in the hospital, clinic, and community.

Stephanie's personal breastfeeding experience includes pumping for a preterm NICU baby, breastfeeding a baby with food allergies, overcoming recurrent mastitis, and managing pumping while working.Ë™

Stephanie loves spending time with her husband and adult children. She enjoys time in the outdoors especially hiking, kayaking, and snorkeling.
